From the A1 Highway (Autostrada del Sole):
If arriving from the South (e.g., Rome):
Exit at Val di Chiana/Sinalunga/Siena.
Follow signs toward Siena for approximately 50 km.
Take the Tangenziale (circular road) towards Firenze/Grosseto.
Exit at Siena Nord.
If arriving from the North (e.g., Milan):
Exit at Firenze Impruneta (formerly Certosa).
Take the right-hand Superstrada Firenze/Siena (Superstrada del Palio).
Continue for 57 km and exit at Siena Nord.
Local Directions from Siena Nord Exit:
At the top of the exit ramp, turn left and follow signs for Castellina in Chianti SS 222 (Chiantigiana Road).
Pass through three roundabouts, continuing toward Castellina in Chianti for 6 km.
Look for the sign for Quercegrossa. After the sign, drive 0.6 km and take the first right near the church: Via di Petroio/Campi Sportivi/Vagliagli.
Stay on this road for 2 km until you see a large granite stone on the right marked PETROIO.
Turn right onto the cypress-lined drive and follow it to the end. You’ve arrived at Villa Petroio. Welcome!
